Back to the Grind
I'm officially healthy again after 4 weeks of strep and 1 week of a cold overlapping with the strep, so I went for a run this morning before work. Go me. Mr. Sports Kit says I went 3.4 miles in 45 minutes or so, which is substantially slower than I was over a month ago. Also, I wore my heart rate monitor and my heart rate was ridiculously high (around 192 for the duration of the run). *sigh* Now I have to start all over again, I guess...

I'm glad you're healthy again, though. I was somewhat worried when you said your strep was resisting antibiotics.
I have no good reason really, other then the weather, two kids to take careof, and an extremely overly busy husband, but I haven't been out running in almost 3 weeks now. Sad. I'm so disappointed in myself that I couldn't keep it up for even 3 MONTHS that I'm close to just forgetting about it. The weather isn't very encouraging either. It was easier to run when breathing wasn't a sweaty chore!
Glad you're healthy again Rock. Hopefully things will settle down and Jacob will be home and free more and I'll get time to go out for a run one of these days. I'm guessing I'll be lucky to get 2 miles in 45 minutes!
